Medical Clinic

Quality Health Care

Because of the generosity of ministry supporters, Bethesda Mission’s Registered Nurses are able to care for the basic medical needs and case management challenges of our men and women shelter guests throughout the day. Medical services for Bethesda’s guests are provided by volunteer physicians and medical students from Penn State Internal Medicine Department at a weekly evening Clinic. Other services are provided by volunteer nurses, physicians, social workers, and enrollment specialists from UPMC/Pinnacle.

“Lion Care” Partnership

A group of medical students and physicians from Penn State Hershey also established the “Lion Care” program. Lion Care offers general and specialty clinics to Bethesda guests and those in the community with either no access or limited access to quality health care. Their partnership is very important to us and we are so thankful for the time and skills hundreds of physicians and students give to caring for the uninsured and underinsured people in Harrisburg. Lion Care Clinics operate on scheduled evenings of the month and are by appointment only. Please call (717) 257 4440 Ext 312 to schedule an appointment.

Referrals required. Please call to speak with a nurse if you have any questions.
