Bringing Dental Care to Harrisburg’s Most Vulnerable
Bethesda Mission had been working for years to alleviate the medical complications that men and women guests coming to our facilities were experiencing due to poor dental care. Dr. David Russell, visionary for the Dental Clinic, told Bethesda in 2009 that if we would build the Clinic, he would come and manage it; in 2010, our first humble Dental Clinic became a reality.
As demand for services increased, we decided to provide a more permanent home for both out Medical and Dental Clinics in 2013. Funded by the generosity of the Stabler Foundation, the Hoverter Foundation, and over 200 contributors, the new state-of-the-art Health Suite opened at 611 Reily Street in 2014.
“From God’s Heart, Through Human Hands”
Our professionally trained staff care for the needs of Bethesda Mission’s men and women guests in a calm, Christ-centered atmosphere. Licensed volunteer Dentists, working in their area of expertise, a Dental Clinic Manger, licensed Hygienist and certified Dental Assistants work together to accompany the Mission’s vision of patient-focused, holistic (spirit, soul and body) care. Services provided in the dental clinic include: Dental x-rays, comprehensive examinations by a dentist, teeth cleanings, extractions and fillings, dentures, and urgent/emergent dental care.
Bethesda Mission Dental Clinic accepts referrals from partner agencies only.
