Bethesda Mission’s ministries touch men, women and children, seeking to inspire hope in each person. These ministries, which enter the lives of hurting people to offer opportunities for the restoration of their minds, bodies, and spirits, include the following:

Long-term recovery

Offers rehabilitation and mentoring programs for men and women struggling with addiction and abuse, or just struggling to manage challenges in their lives. We provide the opportunity for a new life of stability and fulfillment through Jesus Christ.

Men’s Mission

At the historic facility at 611 Reily Street, Bethesda Mission is Harrisburg’s only homeless shelter for men, offering comprehensive services for those in need.

Founded in 1983, the Women’s Mission provides lodging for single women as well as mothers and their children with a focus on long-term recovery.

Community Center

Bethesda Mission Community Center exists to develop meaningful relationships with children, teens, and families in the Harrisburg area and guide them into a relationship with Jesus Christ so that they can be a positive influence in their homes, schools, and communities.

Medical & Dental ClinicsRodica

Bethesda Mission provides excellent medical and dental care for its residents and takes referrals from other agencies in the Harrisburg area treating uninsured and under-insured homeless and low-income persons.
