RELEASE DATE:   3-16-17

Bethesda Mission is in need of additional donations to help provide a traditional Easter Dinner for needy, hungry men, women, and children on Easter Sunday. On April 16, beginning at 4:30 p.m. and continuing until 5:30 p.m., an Easter Dinner will be offered to anyone who needs a meal or has nowhere else to go to celebrate this victorious day!

Scott Dunwoody, executive director of the Mission states, “We are planning on serving approximately 200 needy, hungry men, women and children. Combine this with the fact that we have been operating at nearly 150% capacity throughout this entire winter, our resources are depleted. Food donations and cash donations are needed now to provide meals for those in need.”

Those wishing to help us provide a hot, nutritious meal to those in need may bring their donations to Bethesda Mission, located at 611 Reily Street, Harrisburg at any time. You can also visit to make a financial donation. Thank You and have a blessed Easter Holiday Season!

(If there are any excess donations of food or money not used for the Easter meal, they will be used to sustain Bethesda over the coming months.)

You can inspire hope during COVID-19

At Bethesda Mission, our mission remains the same through this pandemic: to serve those who are most vulnerable in our community. Right now groceries are one of their biggest needs, so please come alongside your friends and neighbors affected by the shutdown. $25 provides groceries, meals, and other care.
