CIL: Celebrating Christ’s Birth and Work in HBG

Christmas is one of the few holidays that spills over into an entire season. Homes and communities are full of lights; the music on the radio changes. And Christmas is certainly worth celebrating for more than just a day. God’s incarnation is one of the most pivotal moments in history, bringing peace, hope, and a Savior to the world!

For the past seven years, Christmas at Italian Lake has been our way of remembering Christ’s birth in Harrisburg. Through this event, the community has the opportunity to learn about, celebrate, and support God’s work in and through the lives of hurting men, women, and children.

This year, we had more fun activities for the whole family. There were sleigh rides, pictures with Santa, food trucks, artisan vendors, a petting zoo, and much more.

The tree lighting ceremony, led by Tom Russell, highlighted the growth of our female guests. And the lights are absolutely beautiful!

None of this would have been possible without your help. We rely on your support. Your donations afford us the time to prepare for and run the event, which was attended by around 4000 people and raised over $22,000!

The hours you volunteer help more than you know. It takes enormous effort to put on this event, and it would be impossible without those directly offering their time.

Even just coming to the event encourages us! If you came on Saturday, thank you so much. We hope you had a great time and that you were filled with the holiday spirit through the experience!
