Dental Hygienist (30-32 hours per week):
Licensed hygienist to assess oral hygiene care needs and treatment plans, to include cleaning teeth, identifying oral diseases, providing preventative dental care and educating patients on good oral health in a service-based, state-of-the-art facility during Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday clinics. 30-32 hours per week, with benefits. Requires Christian testimony.
Dental Assistant (Part-time):
Seeking trained person to perform the functions pertaining to patient dental care, dental procedures, and assisting dentists during dental clinics. Hours: 16-24 hours/week. Requires Christian testimony.
Director of Community Center
Develops and monitors effective Christ-centered programs for inner-city youth, families and community members, supervises Community Center staff and volunteers and oversees operations of the Community Center. Represents the Mission at churches, public and civic groups. Requires an Associate’s Degree and two years of experience administering Christian Youth and Community ministries. Full-time position with benefit package.
Preteen/Junior High/Outreach Manager
Responsible for ongoing development and implementation of the preteen/junior high program and organizing/assigning volunteers within these programs. Operates as a support to the Director of the Community Center in the administration and promotion of the Community Center that is designed to minister to both the physical and spiritual needs of inner city youth, families and the community of Harrisburg. Requires an Associate’s Degree and two years of experience administering Christian Youth and Community ministries. Full-time position with benefit package.
Summer Community Center Worker (Temporary)
Recruiting female for 40 hours/week during summer Community Center Program – approximate dates May 27, 2019 to August 9, 2019. Requires high school diploma/GED, Christian character, experience supervising youth in recreational activities, and interacts effectively with inter-city youth.
Responsible for the overall communications of the Mission in implementation of the Mission’s fundraising efforts. Develops and manages the Mission’s effective communications, consulting with the Executive Director and Director of Development with items including the website, news and social media. Full-time position with benefit package.

Bethesda Mission is chartered as a non-profit Christian organization serving the poor and homeless of central Pennsylvania. In keeping with the nature of this charter, only Christians are hired, which is supported by the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title VII, Section 702(a) as amended in 1972, whereas a religious corporation is exempt from the prohibition of religious discrimination. Therefore, as a bona fide occupational qualification, the first qualification for employment with Bethesda Mission is to provide a Biblically sound testimony of having accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to lead a life worthy of that profession.
