Medicine Without Money
Because of the generosity of ministry supporters, Bethesda Mission is able to provide quality health care to Harrisburg’s neediest families. Focusing primarily on our men and women shelter guests, our staff nurses are able to care for basic medical needs throughout the day, while various general and specialty clinics are offered through volunteers at various times throughout the week.
Powered By Volunteers
Bethesda’s medical services are provided by both staff and volunteer nurses, and volunteer doctors & medical students. Our volunteer physicians come from different practices and areas of specialization. Many are associated with Penn State Hershey Medical Center, and, along with medical students, have established the valuable “LionCare” program. Their partnership is very important to us and we are so thankful for the time and skills hundreds of physicians and students have given to caring for underserved and uninsured people in Harrisburg.
